Deep Origin

“Deep Origin was born with an ongoing intention and passion that it will be the most sustainable glass bottled water company in New Zealand!”. With this in mind, Deep Origin is presented in a beautifully functional glass bottle which can be returned for reuse - just like bottles used to be! The bottle’s main label is permanently printed while the neck label is made from biodegrable cellulose. Bottles may also be purchased in returnable and recyclable New Zealand pine crates (only available for store purchases).

Deep Origin is sourced from the Otakiri Aquifer in the Bay of Plenty region of New Zealand. The artesian aquifer belongs to a ‘Deep System’ tapped at 222 metres (730 feet). Water age is around 50 years and its catchment is a large area of natural native bush. The pattern and magnitude of concentration of elements is consistent, based on samplings taken since 1896, and has no seasonal fluctuations. An independent geographical report from the Bay of Plenty Regional Council states "the water ranks as probably the deepest, highest quality water in New Zealand".
