Malavella

Malavella is sourced from the Caldes de Malavella (hence its name), in the southern Girona region of Catalonia. The source, originally discovered in 1829, was then called La Mina, and the water later bottled and sold as Font de la Mina. While from the same aquifer as Vichy Catalan (Spain’s best selling sparkling mineral water), its mineral composition is slightly higher. Malavella also contains trace amounts of Lithium. Malavella is a naturally carbonated volcanic artesian water, which emerges at a temperature of 60 degrees celcius. Its natural carbonation provides a fine bead of gas in the glass which, with its distinctive bottle design, makes Malavella a very appealing water for the epicurean setting. Try with tapas as a replacement or accompaniment to a dry Spanish Cava.
