Vittel

Several waters bearing the Vittel name are bottled in the spa town of Vittel. Of these, Vittel Bonne Source, available in export markets, is one of the great still Natural Mineral Waters of the world. The benefits of Vittel’s waters were first noted around 1853 by Louis Bouloumié, when he was cured of kidney problems by drinking the water. It’s source lies at the heart of 1,200 acres of natural, unspoilt countryside in the Vosges, Lorraine region of France. Vittel’s mix of calcium, magnesium and sulphates is claimed to have a beneficial effect on the kidney, liver and gall bladder. These days, Vittel township is a lively spa resort in partnership with Club Med. With the accent on outdoor living as well as the traditional thermal spa treatments, it is a haven for those seeking physical and spiritual renewal.
